Kayla's school gets out at 3 and her bus gets to the preschool by 3:45. That was about the time that I saw her at the gas station. So for 45 minutes my daughter wandered around Moscow trying to make it home or to the preschool. OOOOMMMMGGGGGG!!! I am totally shaking at the ideas that come into my head of what could have happened.
but I am sooo glad that i found her and that i was guided to go the way i did. I told her that that was bad but she was safe now. I also told her what could have happened if I had not found her. and obviously told her that we should not try that agian. PLus I had to call the school and tell them abotu it. The principal was freaked by it too. He is going ot have a talk to kayla tomorrow.
it makes me think of this poem:
Footprints
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, He looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.
This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.
The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

Wow, that made my heart skip a couple of beats! How far is school from home? Well at least you know she wouldn't do that ever again. Did you ask her why she decided to try walking home? Oh man, I am so glad she is okay!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you had to go through that. Man I have had so many experiences in the past 12 months with Gabe escaping from the house and us having no idea where he went. One time he was naked down by a street where cars go fast. Another time he escaped at night and was about a quarter of a mile away...that was the absolute worst because it was dark.
ReplyDeleteYou just cry and pray and thank God that they are alright and know that angels watch over them!
school is definatly not close to home. It is about 6 miles or more depending on how you go. She decided to do just becasue she wanted to do it. Thats it she says. I was totally freaked when the reality of what COULD have happened set in.
ReplyDeletewow. I am so sorry about this babe! Thank the heavens above there are sweet angels watching out for all of us! Love you!
